TWELVE First Generation (F1) Labradoodle Puppies - Price: 400 in Tingley, Iowa

 
Dam is a beautiful yellow lab. 
Gorgeous black and white parti Sire. 
 
Born April 1st. Eight weeks old on May 27th. Will be wormed, current on shots with dew claws removed. F1b litter due April 22nd.

Doodles are hybrids so there really is no way to say that F1's have certain characteristics and F1b's have other characteristics. It all depends on the genes but F1 is a first generation and F1b is that back bred to a poodle to end with a 3/4 poodle with the hopes of less shedding. 
 
We cannot tell you that your Doodle will be curly haired or will not shed. From what we have seen the F1's can have both shaggy, straight hair or curly or wavy hair and shed less than a labrador retriever. F1b's do tend to have the curly, less shedding hair because they have 3/4 poodle in them. Still no one can know by looking at an eight week old puppy. We have two F1 labradoodles. Georgia is straight and shaggy and Willow is very wavy-curly. 
 
Comparing the straight, shaggy haired version to the curlier type of fur, the F1 has the benefit in that it is easier to clean. By that I mean when you hike through forests, grasses, twigs, etc can be brushed out much easier. Some people also prefer the shaggy dog look. 
 
With the curly and wavy haired versions, much more likely in F1b's, there will considerable more grooming required but they are less likely to shed or shed alot.
